The heads of state and governments of the Saarc member countries, who addressed the inauguration ceremony of the 18th Summit of the regional body, continued to hold bilateral meetings at Hotel Soaltee on Wednesday.
In course of the bilateral meetings, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay held discussions along the sidelines of the regional summit.
Issues related to the bilateral relations, mutual cooperation and making Saarc more effective were discussed in the meeting.
Earlier, Indian PM Modi held meeting with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and issues related to mutual relations and extending the bilateral trade were discussed, it has been learnt.
Such bilateral meetings are one of the attractions of the Saarc summit and it is expected to renew the bilateral relations among the member countries. RSS
